Dennis O'BRIEN Obituary

O'BRIEN, Dennis John (Silver Fox). Peacefully at Calvary Hospital, Invercargill. On Sunday, 14th May 2023. Dearly loved husband of the late Patricia. Loved father and father-in- law of Prentice and Claire (Invercargill). Cherished granddad of Tim, Harry, Ollie, Lydia, William, Christopher, and Philippa. A private burial has been held. Family warmly invite you to a memorial service for Dennis at J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Thursday 25th May. In lieu of flowers, donations may be left at the service for the Southland Hospice. Tributes may be left on Dennis' tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where a live stream of the service will also be available.

Many wonderful memories through the years in the appliance and electronics industry. Probably the greatest salesman in the industry. RIP old friend.

Dennis was a great friend to my mother Joan Campbell. Joan is now in Peacehaven and too frail to get to the memorial. But she would have loved to have attended. Joan was also best friends with Dennis's wife Patricia, and all three go back a very long way. I met Dennis quite a few times and he was really good fun. You were guaranteed a good laugh! But he also had a really big heart and put himself out to help those around him. Anyway, we shouldn't be too sad because I know he had a really good life and made the most of every minute of it. Still he will be missed by all those who knew him. I know Joan does.
