Denis YOUNG Obituary

Young, Denis Cyril. Passed away with his family by his side, on 23 January 2026 aged 83 years. Treasured husband of Yvonne, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Wendy and Craig, Keryn, David and Claire. Cherished granddad of Joshua, Maia, Isla, Hannah and Lachlan. Our special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff at Maygrove Village Hospital, Orewa. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday 31 January 2026 at 13:30pm at The Hibiscus Coast Chapel of Dil's Funerals, 48 Waiora Road, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparāoa. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St John Ambulance would be appreciated.

Denis, I always respected the great caring person you were, serious when you needed to be but a lot of fun and laughter was had too! Who could forget that laugh!!

Very much loved brother-in-law of Sonia and Dennis, uncle of Mark and Hayley, Bridgette and Hamish and grand uncle of Hudson, Archie, Finnley, Mabel and Tully. We cherished his sense of humour and his epic laugh. He was always quick to step up with a helping hand and was an awesome husband, father and friend. Sorely missed.
