Denis NYHON Obituary

NYHON, Denis Patrick. Farmer and fisherman, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at his home in Tarras, after a courageous battle with cancer. Aged 69 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend to Sharlene, father and stepfather to Shane, Kelly, Tess; Ayla and Cameron, Grandie to Emilia, Brooke, Ivy, Ashlyn, Bowie, Millie and Luca. A service for Denis will be held at Long Gully Station, 414 Jolly Road, Tarras, at 1pm, on Thursday January 23. Livestream at www. affinityfunerals.nz An area for overnight camping and motorhome parking will be available. Messages to 43D River Ridge Road, RD3, Cromwell, 9383 "Man on the Land Man of the Sea"

To Sharlene and family, We are so sorry to hear that Denis passed away. He was a very good friend to us. He was a great man and very kind. We will miss meeting up with him for a visit when we travel to NZ. Our sincere condolences. Denis will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace Denis. God Bless. Dear Sharlene,
I was sad to hear of Denis's passing and wish to offer my sincere condolences to you and your family. From those days in Milford Sound and the Capricorn, to many days of fun and frivolity at Tarras, Denis was the catalyst for many people's enjoyment of life, mine included. The twinkle in his eye and sharpness of mind and business acumen....that was Denis. He is missed by us all.
