Deborah KNOWLES Obituary

KNOWLES, Deborah Marian (nee Grossman). After a long illness, Debbie passed away peacefully on Tuesday 9 October in the presence of her family. Dearly loved wife of David, devoted mother of Josephine and Edward, and grandmother to Belle and Cece Richardson, she will also be missed by her many friends. A service to celebrate Debbie's life will be held at 1.00 pm on Monday 15 October at North Shore Memorial Park in Schnapper Rock Road in Albany.

David: I never met you, but certainly knew of you. To learn of Debbie's passing from my cousin Tim McWhannel was quite shocking to me - I had never known that she was ill. My contact with her was firstly through Beatrice, whom I last saw in 2010, but also through mutual friends in the teaching world - Jane Kominic too. Well I really just want to say how much she touched me - not only in her love and care for her mother, but by the wisdom she possessed and demonstrated in her approach to life. I live in Bangkok now, but my thoughts will be with Debbie, and with you and your family on Monday.
