Deborah GILL Obituary

GILL, Deborah Joy (nee Stevenson). Daughter of John M Stevenson (and the late Lois), wife of John Gill, mother to Harrison, Georgia, and Oliver. On the morning of Wednesday 17th January our precious Deb received her final wish, a peaceful and pain free end to her time in this world. We thank our family and friends who have journeyed with us, & the Auckland Hospital Oncology Team for their advice, treatment and concern. We are indebted to the staff at Mercy Hospice for their expertise, and gentle care. A celebration of Deborah's life will be held at 11am Friday 26th Jan, at All Saints Church, Howick. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Hospice would be entirely appropriate.

John, Harrison, Chelsea, & Ollie, it was such a privilege to have known Deborah while we shared on the SIM Board together. Our hearts go out to you as you have such a huge hole in your lives now that Jesus has taken her home. Her memorial service was such a tribute to her life well lived for her God, you her family, her wider family, her friends and her community (worldwide). Thank you for the privilege of being able to share in this today and to be continued to be impacted by her life. Especially praying for you all as you live one day at a time negotiating this huge hole. May you know the extra special comfort of the Lord. With our love, Lois & Dave Freeman

Deborah we will miss your sunny smile, your heart for people, your love and service to others, and the wonderful wife, Mum and friend you were. May you fly with the angels as you are reunited with Erica & Ros.
