Deborah Butt Obituary

BUTT, Deborah Anne. (15 June 1950.) Died peacefully at her home in Wilton on Saturday morning. Holding her hand were her husband Peter, her daughters Sarah, Amy and Verity, and her son-in-laws Chris, Antonio and Rishi. In her thoughts were her parents Ross and Patsy Blackman and brothers Ian and Brian. She was treasured as Principal of Newlands School for the last 15 years and the best Mum in the world. Her funeral (last school production) will be held at 1pm, tomorrow Tuesday, 23 August at The Wellington Cathedral of St Paul, Molesworth St, Wellington, followed by private cremation. Moving from Canada to New Zealand in 2001 was very hard on our family....especially our three children, Aidan, Zoe and Gemma. Mrs Butt was there for all of us during this period of transition and during the years to come. We will always remember the special stickers you would receive after filling your sticker chart. Her vibrant, contagious laugh and the love and pride she had for each and everyone of her Newlands Primary students. Mrs.Butt, we will remember you for all the good you brought to our lives. You will be deeply missed!
