Dearest Jacqui and family,
Our deepest condolences to you all. Dave will always be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.
After working with Dave for many years and building a personal family relationship with you and the family, I know the way he behaved in private was the way he was at work - positive, energetic, a leader with a sharp wit and enormous integrity. We will treasure times spent together and hold dearly precious memories.
He will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.

Dave,
you were my fist captain at AGS first XI when I made the side as a 15 year old in 1979. I felt so intimidated. We were already NZ Champions. But you calmed me, gave me belief, told me I was there for a reason. What an incredible side we had, and you captained us. Legends of football at AGS; Sean McCann, Chris Morgan, Scotty Williams, Jeremy Williams, Jeff Rowse, Wally Hofacher, Steve Bird, Mike Henry, Craig Forman. NZ Champions, Auckland Champions. We beat everyone except Rufer's Rongotai. And you led us. A truly great man, always humble, always there for advice. I remember it like it was yesterday. Rest in love, Dave, you were a great human

My deepest condolences to all the family he leaves behind. I did not have the privilege of knowing them, but knowing what David was like, I would assure you that he leaves his family all his charisma and leadership, companionship and friendliness that he showed to everyone. I will miss the conversations we had about football. Thank you for that friendship that you offered me since we met. Rest in peace.

David all those years ago when I looked after you Christine and Peter for 6 weeks while your parents were investigating a job in London I have fond special memories . One in particular . When your father decided to take up the job in the UK they rang and asked me to get all three of you to start cleaning out your rooms and decluttering . David were we´re mortified and very resistant to sorting out your precious collection of football comics . Your obsession with football was strong then and your love of the game was life long . Arsenal rocks , Farewell to a courageous very good man .
