We would like to extend our sincerest sympathy to the Williamson Family, our thoughts go out to you at this very sad time.
Dave (and Pam) were wonderful people who welcomed us to their neighbourhood with great warmth and hospitality, we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to a Rural lifestyle, they epitomised what city folk expected a Country neighbour to be.
Dave, your wealth of knowledge, kindness and warmth will be missed, however you will live on in the proud family You and Pam have raised.

Sending our love and deepest condolences to Gail and all of Dave's family and friends.
We have all lost a man of such immense heart, love, passion, resilience, resolution, strength, devotion, forward momentum, kindness, generosity, humour and bullet-proof friendship.
I mostly knew Dave & Pam through my parents Kel and Lois. One episode I'll never forget and will always be thankful to Dave for goes back the late 80's. Dave gave me a few days work slashing long grass from around the young pine trees above the creek, opposite the house. I wasn't too experienced with such practical work and managed to, from what I heard later, also cut numerous irrigation lines around the trees. It was a decent stuff up that would've cost Dave hours and a few dollars to rectify. But he didn't go off at me and even the thirdhand feedback wasn't too abusive :)
In hindsight Dave might've had the last laugh without trying though; the work was hot and there was no shade. I ran out of water so in naive desperation drank out of the creek. Yep - ended up with (north of) Bombay (Hills) Belly! All told it was an experience that was so Dave and as unforgettable as the man himself :)
Thanks for your support and generosity Dave and for being such a great friend to Mum and Dad. And no, you probably don't need a degree to count penguins. Although it might help in analysing the data ;)

Was so saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I have many fond memories of him & Pam when they came to visit or we came to Auckland. They both always showed such an interest in our families and we knew that they would do anything for us should we need them.
The pride and love both Dave & Pam had for their family shone through.
RIP

WILLIAMSON, Dave. Passed away tragically on November 21, 2017. Much loved brother of the late Fred Lawson and brother-in-law of Gay. Uncle of Michael and Galina, Raewyn and Wayne, Peter and Sonya, Dianne, and Carol. Great Uncle of Anna and Freddie, Shelley and Matt, Madoc, Tyla, and Braden. Will always be remembered by the Lawson family for his generosity, humour and fun times. Happy memories.
