Sadly taken so young. A true hero to your family and community and country. I did not know you, but a very good friend of ours is a fireman, and we truly respect him and his selflessness to emergency situations. you have left behind some fabulous memories. Thank you for your service. Rest in peace David.

Taken far to soon, but you'll never be forgotten!
I still remember the very first time you came out to one of my horses, back when you first started at, then Kumeu Vets! From that day forward you have dealt with all our beloved horses medical needs, that is whenever you weren't already attending a call out....
You had such a kind, empathetic, respectful manner with both horse and owner alike, an incredible ability to explain to children step by step of a procedure what was happening and why in such a way that they understood but not frightened.
6 years ago my then 2 year old daughter was so inspired by you tending to a friend's very sick mare that she has since that day, and still today wants to be a vet when she grows up!
Thank you for all you have done for horses in need and their owners alike! An incredibly talented vet, with a huge career ahead of you.
Hearts and thoughts are with you and your beautiful family.
