Hi Gail, very sad to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was my manager at Seaview terminal for a few years and i worked with him in other parts of the business at Shell, he had the most memorable and infectious laugh which I will never forget, it always made the team smile.

To Gail & the Tozer Family. We are deeply saddened by the passing of David. We have many happy memories of joint Christmases etc, playing together at Auntie Millies. We made you laugh so we could listen to you, which made us laugh too. Rest in Pease,

All my thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the Tozer families. Of course there´s the laugh, endless hours of cricket practice at Denby Road with the girls as fielders, Friday nights at the movies and walking home with fish and chips from the Black Cat, Mrs Tozers grilled cheese on toast (with Marmite) after a night out are all great youthful memories from Hawera. Some of them can´t be shared. Rest in peace David

I first met Dave at Wiri in the late 90s. He was the depot manager for Shell and I was a Mobil owner driver. We both moved on and met up again when he became my manager at Mini Fuels and Oils. I will always remember his great sense of humour, his special laugh and his kindness. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Gail - I am so terribly sorry for your loss
As the person who inherited the Shell NZ Construction portfolio from Toz in 2004, I got to experience and become the caretaker for the legacy of a true Shell great, and someone who built so much trust with all his clients and colleagues
I learnt a lot from Dave, and his laugh still echoes in my mind often.
I send my strength and Aroha to all mourning his loss

In Memory of David G. Tozer
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of David G. Tozer, my first manager and mentor at Shell. Dave was more than just a leader-he was a genuine inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His sense of humour, unmistakable laugh, and the kindness and respect he showed his team made a lasting impression on me and so many others.
I will always remember him walking in every morning with his cheerful "Morning, team!"-a small gesture that spoke volumes about his leadership style and his commitment to building a supportive and connected team. Dave was Shell through and through; he truly bled yellow and red. His dedication, pride, and unwavering commitment to the company were unparalleled, and his legacy will undoubtedly live on in the memories of those he influenced.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Gail and the entire Tozer family during this difficult time. Dave will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Dave.
