I know that this is a very late insert as I was just clearing my emails. I was Traffic Despatch
Officer at Taieri Airport and Dunedin Airport from
1947-1982 and Dave flew in mainly at Taieri Airport.I never forgot him as one of the most
kindly, patient, and "easy to get along with"
aircrew pilots during my time with NAC and ANZ.
He was "one of a kind" and stood out among all the other aircrew. You all would sadly miss him.God bless.

I first met Dave when I was a new 21 year old F/O in NAC in 1955. I first flew with him on DC3s at Paraparaumu on 22nd September 1957. We were associates until he retired.
Dave was one of natures gentlemen, he was always cheerful, and considerate, besides being a top class Captain.
My most sincere condolences are extended to all of his family, he will be remembered for all time.
