I met David when he shared tax/ accounting tips with my class- third year acting students at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School. It was an invigorating session and I still follow his advice and use the resources he gave us! I quickly signed up with him as my accountant and am still so glad I did.
Dear David, I just wanted to let you know that I think of you often, and cherish the kind, sparky, generous person that you were. My thoughts often also go out to your family.
Much love to you all

I was shocked to hear of David's passing quite recently - I live down in Dunedin and missed the notices. David introduced me to the 'grown-up' world of my income, expenses and tax. He was always generous with his time and care, he stayed calm when I was stressed and I will miss him. My condolences to David's family. Rhys Latton

So sad to hear of this David's passing. David was very helpful to me. He dug me out of my tax hole and allowed me to get on creating things. He was always incredibly helpful and generous with his time and skills.

Seeing David's death notice brought back memories of a fantastic employer nearly 30 years ago. My fondest memory is typing the book he wrote of a story he would tell the kids at bedtime. My thoughts are with all of the family at this sad time.

How very sad to hear this news; I knew David through the Wellington theatre community, he was a great supporter of theatre and the arts, and helped many of us stay on the right side of the IRD. My accountant since 2001, David was always generous with his time and made my complicated finances much more pleasant and even fun. We had many humorous email exchanges, about all kinds of things, from finances to his more recent adventures on the lifestyle property. I remember bumping into him outside Wellington hospital when one of his kids had just been born and he was bubbling with excitement. David was always so enthusiastic and positive. My sincere condolences to Susanne and the kids.

Our sympathy goes to to the family of David at this sad time. I remember David as a young boy when the family lived in Putaruru. From Maureen (nee Suisted) and Bob Leger, 24 Cobham Crescent, Tokoroa.
