David SIXTUS Obituary

SIXTUS, David William Leonard (Dave). Dave passed away peacefully aged 54 at Pukekohe Hospital on January 1, 2026 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Janis. Loved father of Mikayla, Xavier, Harley and Norton and grandson Matteo. Loved son of the late Walter and Marjorie. Loved son in law of Lois and the late John. Brother and brother-in-law of Gary and Brenda, Neil and Violet (Australia), Lorraine and John and Pauline and Russell. Loved by all his nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank Franklin Hospice and Pukekohe Hospital for the fantastic care you gave Dave, his wife and family. A private cremation will take place on January 3. As per Dave's request, there will be no funeral service. All communications to 42 Greig Place, Pukekohe.

In Loving Memory of David

David was one in a million - but that was just him, unique in every way. He had a great big heart and would help anyone, any way he could. His sense of humour was something else; he made me laugh so often, even if some of the things he said were... well, debatable. That was David. One of a kind.

I will miss you, David. But I take comfort knowing you´ll be up there with your best mate, Colin. Say hello to him for us, and let him know we miss him - just as we will always miss you.

I would like to thank the staff at Pukekohe hospital for the kind caring manner that you gave David and his family during his illness. You are amazing caring people.
