Love to June and all David's family

Alexander Spirit

March 27, 2012

To the Ryan family. On behalf of the Alexander Spirit officers and crew I wish to send our deepest sympathy. Davey was well liked at sea and a true shipmate for us all. I personally first met Davey on Australia Sky, and sailed with him on many occasions. He was an old school seaman, with knowledge that He shared with us younger lads, as well as the occasional horse tip. Such assistance in our seamanship allowed the same young lads to progress and become teachers to the next generation, and I attribute many lessons by Davey to my promotion to Master, as he offered advice on all levels to help everyone. His love for life and a sing a long will be missed by us all at sea, as his character was larger than any ship we sailed on. With sympathy, Captain Jason D. Britton, officers and crew of the Alexander Spirit.
