David and I worked together for many years and became good friends. We competitively bench-pressed heavier and heaver weights in his Northcote home garage and fished in the Waitemata. God Bless and 'Tight Lines' my old friend.
"Sunset and Evening Star, then one clear call for me.
But may there be no moaning on the Bar, when I put out to sea.
For such a tide as moving seems asleep, too deep for sound or foam.
When that which drew from out the boundless deep (Eternity), turns again for home.
