David John MITCHELL

David MITCHELL Obituary

MITCHELL, David John. Sailor, teacher, adventurer, writer and architect. Died surrounded by family at dawn, Thursday 26 April 2018, aged 77 years. A splendid man who will be missed by many, especially Julie, Jude, Linda, Ben, Tessa, Julian and their families, including grandchildren, Paris, Miro, Rufus, Sian and Amalea. They would like to give special thanks to the staff of Ward 5 and High Dependency Unit at North Shore Hospital. A service will be held on Tuesday 1 May, 2.30 pm at St Matthews in the City, 187 Federal St, Central Auckland.

I don't believe that an individual in David and then a couple in Julie and David that have given me so much love and support in my life as a woman, a mother and an Architect. I owe to David the most fundamental skills as an Architect and in them both life coaching. My heart goes out to Julie and Jules and trust they are comforted in the days weeks and years that follow Davids passing in our love and support. With love and affection forever in my heart Miriam
