My sympathy to Jill and David's family. We spoke at art exhibitions and had a mutual great love of animals. I hardly knew these brilliant artists, but just knew they were two wonderful, loving souls.

So sad to hear of the tragic accident What a lovely couple taken too early. We often saw them in the neighborhood walking their dogs and although we live in the South Island now we all saw the newspaper article and were shocked and saddened by the news. Our condolences to the family.

So shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Jill and David. We first met in 1967 and oh what fun we had! They attended my wedding and our children played together in the early years. We kept in touch by way of Christmas cards and family news.
They were so proud of their families achievements.
In 2021 we finally caught up for real and had a lovely few hours reminiscing. They will be remembered with love, rest in peace my lovely friends.

My heart is broken for this family . To think that these two beautiful people are gone is unimaginable. I just came across an email that Jill sent me when my boy was born 11 years ago. She was always kind and thoughtful. The most fun loving and kind souls you will be so missed. Praying for the whole McArthur family for comfort and for strength. What an amazing legacy of children and grandchildren you have left behind. I wish I could be there to say goodbye

Im so sorry for your loss. They were a lovely couple. They would always stop to chat or say hi along the Golflands track in the mornings.

Wishing you strength in your time of loss. I have often encountered David and Jill and their two dogs while cycling to work. I enjoyed the brief and friendly encounters. They will stay on in good memory.

Our condolences to the family of this lovely couple. Like many people living in Golflands, we met David and Jill walking their dogs through the streets and trails of the neighbourhood, always stopping for a chat. They will be sadly missed.

My mum and all our family send our condolences at this extremely sad time. We were neighbors for years in Panmure and I babysat their most wonderful children. Such a beautiful, kind, happy couple that brightened anyone's day. David and Jill, your memories last forever, you are always part of who we are.
