David JACQUES Obituary

JACQUES, David William Roger. Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, 18 January, 2023. Aged 82 years. Beloved husband of Patricia. Much loved father of Neville, Denise and Ann and father-in law of John and Mark. The best Grandad of Sarah, Patrice, Nina, Nadine, Nicolette, Julia and Zoe. Great Grandad to Maddox, Zander, Jagger, Poppy, Evelyn, Kaitlin and Natalie. A celebration of David's life will be held on Thursday, 26 January at 11am in the Matamata Civic Centre, Tainui Street. In lieu of flowers donations to St John, Matamata would be much appreciated and these can be left at the service. All communications to the Jacques family c/- 6 Tamihana Street, Matamata.

It is with very heartfelt feeling I send my condolences to Patricia, Neville, Denise, Ann and all their families. David was such a wonderful, loving, family man, and would bend over backwards to help out anyone. And, I was very privileged to have travelled to the UK and Europe on my first OE, by passenger liner, with David and his family. We all experienced such a great time together, driving on the right hand side of the road in Europe, working in local pubs in the UK, and having alot of fun exploring what the UK has to offer as tourists. My love to you all at this very sad time. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. Lots of love and hugs from Lyn, Eric and Jonathan. XX
