David HEAP Obituary

HEAP, David John. On Saturday 7 December David left us peacefully with family by his side. 23 March 1938 - 7 December 2024. Dearly loved Husband of Susan. Much loved father of Matthew and Christian and loved father in law of Fiona and Nicky. Adored Pops of Maddie, Jose, Robbie and Charlie. A celebration of David's life will be held at the Milford Cruising Club on Tuesday 17 December at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.

David was a lovely man, a great boss, and a ground-breaking publisher. I have fond memories of the time I spent working with him at Heinemann in the eighties. I hope he will be recognised for the major contribution he made to New Zealand publishing. Sincere condolences to Susan and family. Andrew
