David, with the age difference and location we didn't get to see you often at Uncle Jack's and Aunty Alice's but I remember you in a short-t and denim shorts and a long blonde ponytail and a ready smile. May you be at peace now with all your battles behind you Joanne Small, Kath (and Aunty Anne, give each other a hug from us)

Thank you for your friendship Sal. I enjoyed our time living together at Sussex Street. The morning walk to 393 and pots of tea and talking at the cafe in Surrey Crescent.
You always had the latest Vogue mags in your voluminous bag.
My first sighting of you up the front at a gig at Western Springs. David Bowie maybe? Chamois shorts and halter top. Long tanned limbs and blazing blonde hair, dancing your heart out. Extraordinary.

Rest in Peace dear Sal. The sad news that you have left us sure brings back lots of memories. From going with you to the Lou Reed concert at the Auckland Town Hall in 1974 to the recent outings to the Ponsonby Food Hall. I am forever grateful to you for taking me into your Sandringham flat in the mid 1980's when I had nowhere to stay. Thank you for your kindness David. I hope that I never forget some of the memorable times that we had. Show Lou that Sally can still dance. My love to you.
