David GEARD Obituary

GEARD, David William Albert. Born 22 February 1936. Passed away at Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital on Thursday 18 November 2021, aged 85. Dearly loved husband of Nefise, father and father-in-law of Alix Jennifer and Stephen, Rosemary and Simon, and Andrew and Katie, and grandfather of Sami and Millie, stepfather and step-father-in-law of Nalan and Daniel, and step-grandfather of Nuriya. David was buried at Purewa Cemetery, near his parents, on Saturday, 20 November, after a small, alert level-limited ceremony. Special thanks to the staff and community at Elizabeth Knox for their care of David over the last 4 1/2 years.
