David accompanied our mother , Fong Fay/Jung, on their voyage to NZ and she was forever grateful for his help during that time. David continued to keep in touch with Gordon after Fong passed away and Gordon truly appreciated his kindness. Our condolences to his family at this sad time.

David has many friends who want to express their love and respect for a dearly beloved person.
As a little girl , I used to see David coming to our church in Cook Street with his father who was our church treasurer. Every Sunday night, rain or shine, they were there, sitting near the back of the church. At that time, he was a teen ager, a solemn little boy, quiet, polite, sitting by his father´s side. A child of God who grew up to be the kindly, hardworking, compassionate person he is today.
David was especially treasured by my family because he recognised how much my mother and my sister, Sharon, needed his help . His association with my family was a long and happy one. When my mother and sister were no longer able to drive, he drove them to church every Sunday followed by shopping and lunch at McDonald´s . David was a bit of a wild driver. But with Minnie navigating by his side, he got them safely home every time.
His garden was filled the whole year round with fruit and vegetables. The best of these went to his friends.
David, you have enriched our lives because of your example. We have lost a good friend. We have lost a good person. We have lost a brother in Christ. You can now rest in peace in Gods care. A long journey well travelled.

Condolences to Minnie and family on my cousin David's passing.
I remember him so well when my mum and I used to travel up to Auckland from Wellington every Christmas Eve by train to visit the family from the age of 7 yrs old. David was always the one to pick us up from Auckland Strand and take us back to his parents' home in Hillsborough where Christmas lunch was waiting for us when we arrived.
David and Minnie were very hospitable and looked after Mum and I very well. He was a great cook and a very generous person.

May David rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to you David for being such a loyal family friend, and a trusted business partner of the Young Family. You inspired us all with your boundless energy and we especially enjoyed your Cantonese roast duck. You were a legend and I will miss you with all my heart. You are safe in God's hands so rest in peace, dearest friend.
