David BRUNDELL Obituary

BRUNDELL, David John. 16 February 1946 - 13 December 2021. Passed away at Middlemore Hospital. A restless spirit is now at peace. Go well on your next journey. Loved and treasured son of the late Jim (James) and Edna and loved and admired brother of June. David lived a full and creative life with many achievements and talents in horticulture. His loss will also be felt by all his cousins, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the wonderful care and support following his accident in 2018 by all at Papakura Private Hospital. Wonderful David. Very sad to hear of your passing. Thankyou for your kindness to a teenage greenfingers student, who needed a step into the world of commercial horticulture. My heartfelt condolences to David's family and friends. I was David's massage therapist from 2003 to 2015 and have the privilege of a few clivia he gave me prior to him going to Raro. Somehow lost contact.

Despite moving home a few times I still have a number of Clivia and some scadoxis plants are currently enthusiastically thrusting their flowers up to the sky ... perhaps somewhat like David himself; always make me think of David and his contributions to the Horticulture industry.
