Sad and surprised to hear of David's death. I didn't know he was ill. Knew him from Poetry Live in the late 90s to later. A nice fellow and a good writer, a very good writer of a novel, some poems, and stories. And he was an artist. My condolences.

David Brown was an especially outstanding and gentle human being who gave back to other people in recovery with compassion and tenderness. An extremely talented and recognized writer he developed the Straight Up Creative Writing programme which has been presented with great success at WINGS and the CADS Abstinence Programme due to his personal commitment to it, he was also a very respected and loved clinician at the CADS Abstinence Programme .
