David BRAITHWAITE Obituary

BRAITHWAITE, David Joseph. (OBE, FACA, Freedom of the City of Hamilton). Passed away peacefully Thursday 18th March 2021 after spending the evening with family. Aged 83 years. Most dearly loved husband of Rae, much loved and loving father of Mark, Pennie and Nicholas, cherished Poppa and best friend of Georgia, Sam, Miranda, Joseph and Archie. Caring and generous, a piano player with a quick sense of humour, he was a wonderful gentleman and is forever in our hearts. A service to celebrate David's life to be held on Wednesday 24 March at The Waikato Cathedral Church of St Peter, 51 Victoria Street, Hamilton at 11.30 am. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Friends of the Hamilton Gardens and left at the service. Correspondence to David's family c/- Ana-Maria Funeral Services, P.O Box 439, Hamilton 3240

My first job was at Braithwaite and Page Accountants. David was wonderful and always remember those happy times. Sorry to hear of David passing away. RIP.

Dear Rae, I was sorry to hear of David's passing but know he would have been welcomed by Ron, Con and Roy the other musketeers. I have fond memories if the times Ron and I spent with you and David especially the Christmas carol evenings.
