Dear Genevieve ,
Rosemary and I were very saddened to learn today about David's passing .
David was held in high esteem by his colleagues in Perinatal and Pediatric Pathology all over the world, for his many significant contributions to this field of Medicine. He will be sadly missed.
Personally , we always remember the kindness and hospitality you showed us in 1993;ironically currently our television channels are filled with a serial documentary of the New Zealand coastline and general discussions about life in New Zealand in general.We are so grateful to have been hosted by Davids and Genevieve all those years ago , because they gave us such a warm and loving look into their homeland. Knowing David was a privilege.Our deepest condolences go out even if very belatedly to Genevieve and his extended family.

For Genevieve and family my thoughts and prayers are with you all today. David was great fun to be with when I visited you for afternoon tea and the lovely walks around your beautiful garden, Dawn.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of a wonderful man who has accomplished so much in his life . He so much compassion for the children that he dealt with and a wonderful mentor for the young doctors. Sadly missed, regards John Peters ex Princess Mary Laboratory.

My condolences to the Becroft family. I had the pleasure of working for David in the Princess Mary Lab many years ago. I remember David as a very kind man.

Sad to hear the news. Many years ago I worked with Dr Becroft at the Princess Mary Laboratory, Auckland Hospital. He was a much respected Dr., a true professional. Condolences to family.
