BECK, David William Irvine (Bill). No. 3943 NZ Police - Retired. Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Bob Scott Retirement Village on October 29, 2018; aged 87 years. Beloved husband of Gretta for 56 years. Loved Father and Father-in- law of David and Lisa (Paraparaumu), and Margaret and Jim (Nelson). Loved Grandfather of David, Josh, Cameron, Rhiannon and Charlotte. Beloved twin brother of Betty (Levin) and older brother of Bev (deceased), and brother-in- law of Gus (deceased) and John (deceased). A retired member of the NZ Police (25 years), Life Member of the NZ Police Rifle Association. Special thanks to the staff of Bob Scott for their exceptional love, care and friendship. A funeral for Bill will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Saturday 3 November 2018 at 2pm. Dear Gretta and family. It was with profound sadness I learned of Bill's passing. My deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family. I have great memories of Bill from our Wellington and Rotorua days. Bill was a tremendous colleague and staunch ally to work with. Truly, one of the best.
