David BAY Obituary

BAY, David Ludwig OBE JP. Passed away suddenly Sunday evening November 1 2015. Aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Marion and the late June, father and father-in-law of Murray and the late Pauline (Cleveland), Stuart and Beth (Manawaru), Ross and Gaylene (Matamata), Dorothy and Russell Burt (Auckland), Roger and Rebekah (Nelson). Much loved Grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren. Delighted to be at home with the Lord whom he loved and served. A service to celebrate David's life will be held at Totara Springs Christian Centre Auditorium, Taihoa North Rd, Matamata on Saturday 7 Nov at 10.30 am, followed by light refreshments then leave at 1.30 pm for interment at Te Aroha cemetery. An open casket viewing opportunity for family and friends will be held at Manawaru Bible Chapel, 412 Manawaru Road, on Friday 6 November from 1pm till 9 pm to share personal tributes with David's family. Donations in lieu of flowers would be welcome for Totara Springs Follow-up and may be left at the service or posted to the address above. Communications c/- 72 Burwood Road, Matamata 3400. David was a very valued friend to my late parents, from childhood, as they grew up together in Pakawau.
Marilyn and I got to know him well during his visits over the past decade or so. He was a fine man, committed Christian and a gentleman.
We will miss him. Our sincere condolences to all his family.
