Dear Robyn, Nicole and Zac please accept my sincere condolences. David was a wonderful, generous supporter of young people in Auckland through Outward Bound. David cared about making a difference and creating opportunities for others. Because of David and Robyn dozens of young people have been able to experience the life changing impact of an Outward Bound course. It was an honour to work with David and Robyn. I know generations of Outward Bound Alumni will always remember David and his care and commitment making life a bit better for everyone.

Our deepest sympathies to Robyn, Nicole and Zac. David and Robyn have given so generously to ensure young people from Auckland can attend Outward Bound over the years and David completed his course in 2004. Many of our staff have reflected how wonderful their interactions have been with him over that time. He will be sorely missed.

First met David in 1977 in Form 1 and grew up with him at St Clair Beach, Dunedin. Have lots of good memories surfing together and doing what teenagers do. That led on to good times flatting together on the Gold Coast. David was always a great bloke to be around. Cherished memories of passing on our surf knowledge to Zac when I had my surf school at St Clair. Much love to Robyn, Nicole, Zac, Richard and Jayne
