Darryl CLARK Obituary

Been over twenty years Darryl - last time we last saw each other I would have been about 5-6 years old. Much older now.
Still have the planes we made in the garage together. Still have memories of driving to your parents farm and weekends out at anawhata with you telling myself and my sister stories you were creating on the spot.
Still remember the beautiful art you treasured - turtle tapa cloths and epic Ahu art.
You were a wonderful man with a heart so full of love. We will have a beer in the next life.

Shine on you crazy diamond...

Well... here's what I think
Zoom, just one look and then my heart went boom
Suddenly and we were on the moon
Flying high on the neon sky, oh

Bang, just one touch and
All the church bells rang
Heaven called and all the angel sang
Sunrise shine in the morning sky, oh

Zoom, you chase the day away
High noon, the moon
And stars came out to play
Then my whole wide world went zoom

Faster and faster we were higher than high)
For once in my lifetime I was finally free

Our time ...shared time, ring time, blush time, travel time, ski time, dance time, loud time, quiet time, drive time, lost time... without you....true love time...bush time, cave time, blu time, some time...we planned time, we forgot time, threw away time, 3 times and ten we were best of friends, on the shore we took some more. Laugh time , sweetest of love time, dream of some more time. hike time, beach time, skate time, swim time, forgiveness time...hard time...remembrance time... loose it all time, sleep time, reap time, homesick freak time, free time to be time, hate me for you time...keeping the best time in my head time, my heart time. Row row row your boat ... gently down the stream time.... time of our life ... is but our dream time. Love you for all time

Everyday without you here is so bland. My birthday wish today is for you Darryl. My wish is that you are happy , content, that you can visit your children and your loved ones at the drop of a thought. With you ever and always in spirit of thought.

Some days are spent in a realm far from here...with a friend that has gone to a higher place...a spiritual place you can only visit for a short while at a stellar pace; then get dropped back here on your empty throne...alone to ponder how to get to that place of splendour again. Grateful for the precious time we had. Think of you every day-Miss you more than allowed in this world.

Dear Darryl. . Intelligent, impetuous,very giving of yourself and one of life's real live wires!...I know deep down you didn't want to leave us so soon and am very sad you are gone. .You will be greatly missed. Sometimes those who struggle with life can teach us so much about love, patience, tolerance, and enduring to the end. . Here is a poem i have written for you, my friend:

Fly away little bird,
Be at peace, like a dove;
Let your wings gently close,
In the arms of God's love.

Those who knew you will miss you,
Each in our own way;
But your trials are now over,
Like the night turns to day.

As the seasons go by,
But your voice we don't hear,

You'll still be with us dear.

As we work and we play,
