Darrell PATTERSON Obituary

Darrell was a much-admired friend and, with the perfect match in Emma, he became part of a delightful couple & their own special family unit. To have shared in some unforgettable moments over the years with Darrell, his family and friends is a very special honour. Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

I, my family, University staff and students remember Darrell very fondly from his time as an exceptional undergraduate then later a valued colleague in Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Auckland.

Condolences for your loss. He was a good teacher

Darrell was a fine scientist and a lovely bloke. I am very shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing. I will miss him and our collaboration on membrane research. My condolences to his family.

We met Darrell and his brother through the doctor who fan club in the 1990s. We are sorry to hear of his loss and send our condolences to his family.

I met Darrell a number of times in my role as Engineering lead at EPSRC in the UK. He was always positive and full of ideas for his research. I am shocked at his passing and wish to pass on my heartfelt condolences to his family at this difficult time.
