Darius HAYDEN Obituary

HAYDEN, Darius Clarence (Sonny). Passed away 26 November 2014 at Kauri Lodge, Kaeo. Aged 93 years. Loved husband of the late Dawn. Adored brother of Mary and his late twin sister Patty. Treasured and much loved father, father- in-Law and Grandad of Maureen, Guy, Hayden and Jamie. Loved and respected step-dad of the Batters boys and their families. A service for Sonny will be held at the Wesleydale Memorial Church, Leigh Street, Kaeo at 1.00pm on Monday 1 December 2014, prior to private cremation. Prior to the service Sonny will be at his home, 698 Omaunu Road, RD 2, Kaeo from noon Sunday 30 November for those wishing to visit.

Poppa Son, I hear your big booming voice"Hello My Girl" and see bear hugs with my babies, we all remember the rides on the "Gator", our treks to see the scar faced eel in the creek, and the squeak and rattle of the fly screen door when you came in from the farm.
