Daphne SMITH Obituary
SMITH, Daphne. (Nanny Daphne) On 13th May 2013 peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by her family, of Rothesay Bay, aged 85 years. Much loved mum of Jane, and Susan (UK), loved mum-in-law of John (deceased) and John. Adored Nan of Nicola and Steve, Emma and MJ, Andrew and Victoria (UK), and Simon and Emma. Amazing Nanny Daphne to her great grandchildren Charlotte, Jessica, Jaden, Georgia, Victoria, Sophie, Bella, Thomas, Mia, Darcey (UK), Liam, Clara (UK) and baby Joshua. Thank you to all the nurses and staff of Ward 10 North Shore Hospital for their care and support during Mums illness. A most beautiful, graceful and strong lady, admired by all. A service for Daphne will be held at North Shore Memorial Park Crematorium Chapel, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany at 11.30am on Friday 17th May. In lieu of flowers, donations to Starship Hospital PO Box 9389 Newmarket 1149 would be appreciated.

To Daphanes family my thoughts are with you at this sad time. I am Jenny's daughter and used to talk to your Mum about Nutrimetics. I always thought she was so glamorous and sophisticated!

My friendship with Daphne goes back to 1972 when I worked with her at Baker Perkins- I always admired Daphne and we kept in touch as friends through the years. A great Mother Nana and friend I will miss you Daphne and my heart goes out in sympathy to Jane Sue and family
