Daphne EVERNDEN Obituary

EVERNDEN, Daphne Ruth (nee Faithfull). Passed away peacefully on 29 December 2017, aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of Richard and mother of Lorraine, Wayne and Gayle. Much loved Nana of Christopher, Jessie, Kane and Brooke. A service to celebrate Daphne's life will be held at the Chapel Of Squire Funeral Services, 15 Wihongi Street, Kaikohe on Thursday 4 January 2018 at 11am followed by a private cremation. Richard wishes to thank all the family and friends who have visited him and Daphne over this time. Your love and support has been a great comfort. Thanks also to the staff at Kerikeri Retirement Village who cared for Daphne in her last weeks with great compassion and kindness. Rest in peace Daphne. Haere ki te wa kainga. Arohanui. A lifelong friend. We first met on the steps of Waikato hospital January 9th 1951 to commence our Nursing training.I will miss the arrival of the annual Christmas card informing where you were, family,children. My sympathy to Richard and especially Gail who has kept me informed of the recent events. Shall think of you all Thursday. Much love from Pauline
