So sorry to hear off Dan's passing. He was always a wonderful neighbour to us, sharing a great yarn and always willing to help out, and turn a blind eye, to our then teenage boys antic's. Much love The Cooneys XXX

Dear Bev, Debbie and Dean. We were so sorry to hear that Danny has passed away. It came as such a shock especially after the close passing of Mum and Aunty Betty. We had a family zoom on Monday night and most of us could recall your visit to 93b when your kids were young and especially a photo of you standing around our car. We could even recall what you were wearing! We loved it when Mum's family visited, we felt quite special that you had come such a distance. It was lovely to see Danny again when our Dad passed away. He enjoyed chatting to us all and even hearing updates from 8 of us, he was interested in us all - pretty special time!
I am sorry covid has disrupted your plans but we will join you online and like Jenny, will light a candle in his memory.
So please know we are with you all in spirit and will think of you as time progresses. I am sure you'll continue to share 'Dad' or 'Danny' moments as you gather and I hope you raise the roof as you recall the lighter side of your lives together.

Dear Bev, Debbie and Dean,
We were sad to hear that Uncle Danny passed away on Sunday. It's been a tough year for the O'B's losing our Mum Mary and Aunty Betty too. We loved catching up with Danny when he came to Blenheim for Dad Jimmy's funeral in 2014 and know that he will be sadly missed by you all.
We'd like to join you online for the service on Saturday to be with you as you farewell Danny.

O'BRIEN, Danny. Born 10 January 1944. Sailed away peacefully at Tauranga Hospital on Sunday 15 August 2021, aged 77. The 9th child in the family of 11 Ponsonby O'Briens. Loved brother of Des, Mary, Betty, Pat (all deceased) and Noeline, Audrey, Terry, Maurice, Ann and Kev. A big Thank You to Dan's daughter Debbie and son Dean for their loving support of Dan and quality time with him through his last days. Rest in Peace now Dan.
