To Nicole and to Courtney's parents and relatives,
We were shocked and very sad to hear of Courtney's passing away. We wish you lots of strength and courage to cope with this terrible loss. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

The world has lost a dear, sweet, trusting and honest person, who made the sun shine when she walked into a room, and whose humour and infectious laughter was always an ice-breaker. She always helped to put people at their ease. Courtney's empathy for the plight of others was a gift and will stand as a living memory to all those who knew her and which cannot be erased. Courtney simply "cared". Her sensitivity was evident, and it belonged to her personality. It is our great privilege to have known a wonderful person, and a shining example of humanity. In her short life, she has given freely of her intellectual gifts, shared her infectious personality, brought happiness to others and left behind more than just a memory. To everyone who met her, she will remain in their hearts and enrich their lives until it is their time to join her in eternity. She will not be forgotten.

Grief can be so hard during the holidays, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one this holiday season.

My dear Courtney,
So little time spent with us and yet so much beauty, love and joy you brought to everyone around you and especially to your mom and Nicole. I will always treasure the memories I have of you, first in Cannes which brought us all together,then in my classroom and also the best times you spent with Yinka at your home.
