Cornelis GIELEN Obituary

GIELEN, Cornelis (Kees) (Chris). Peacefully at his home in Maramarua (surrounded by his loving family), on 14th September, 2017: in his 80th year. Beloved husband for the past 57 years of Anna-Maria. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Wayne, David and Jeanette, Keith, Ron and Heather, Simeon and Racheal, Ben (deceased), and Christine. Proud Grandfather of 8 Grandsons and 5 Granddaughters and 'Opa' of one Great-Granddaughter. Huge thank you from the family to the amazing District Nurses who were in attendance every day for the past two months. A celebration of Chris's life will be held at the Hauraki Plains Co-Operating Parish Church, Darlington Street, Ngatea, on Wednesday 20th September, at 1pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Waikato, Thames would be appreciated and may be left at the service or posted to 402 Pollen Street, Thames, 3500.
