I feel privileged to have known "Team Colleen/Gordon" for nearly 20 years. A perfect complement! Colleen was gentle, clever and astute. She was helpful and caring, and it was no surprise that she was awarded New Zealand honours for the voluntary work she was involved with. I admire her for the love she had for all her family, and her willingness to embrace friends as part of her wider family. I will miss her smile. I will miss her chuckle. I will miss her wickedly dry sense of humour. Colleen: Thankyou for being you.

I have known Colleen and her husband Gordon for 20 years. Colleen was a remarkable woman, very much the match for Gordon in her own quiet but determined manner. They were a great team and their skills and attributes complimented each other in so many ways. She was immensely proud of he daughter Elvie and of her grandson Matthew. So sad she is now gone but she has suffered considerably over the past few years and now she is at peace. I am overseas and not returning to NZ until mid November so I cannot attend Colleen's funeral. I send my love and best wishes to her family.
