Colin RICE Obituary

RICE, Colin Graham (Graham). Major Rtd. It is with great sadness we share that Graham passed away peacefully on 23 May 2025, aged 83 at North Shore Hospital. So very much-loved husband of Dianne. Much loved father and friend of Sandra and Frank and Anthony and Soraya. Much loved Stepfather and friend to Grant and Sheryl, and David and Emma. Special Grandad to Connor and Jenna, Poppy and Sam and Taj and Robbie. Loved brother of David Rice and foster brother of Stu and Sharon. We will love him and miss him forever. Graham will be remembered for his quick wit, and his dedication to the community in his service in the NZ Territorials, Rotary and at the Silverdale Men's Shed. Special thanks to the Doctors and Staff in Rima and Wha Wards, North Shore hospital who cared for Graham so well in his final weeks. Such a special man who will be missed by us all. Forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held for Graham on the 9th August 2025 at 2pm at The North Shore Squash Club, 21 Shea Terrace, Takapuna.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Graeme. I remember when you introduced him to us the Scottie Whanau at mum and dad´s 25th wedding anniversary. I can imagine Graeme and Mum having a drink together now

Dianne it was with much sadness that I read of Grahams passing in the Herald recently. Graham was a great colleague to have in the Babbage days and I am sure he will be hugely missed by you and your wider family

Our very sincere condolences to you Dianne and family. Although we have caught up with either of you for a long time you and Graham are never far from our thoughts as we interact with others from those times past when we were all together. Have noted the Memorial date but are planning a trip to Europe around that time so may not make it. Stay safe & well, Fergus and Barbara Cumming. Rotorua.
