Colin LAING Obituary

LAING, Colin George. Regimental No 203175 NZ Scots, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, New Zealand Military Historical Society, New Zealand Society of Genealogists, Jeweller, Federation of Manufacturing Jewellers, Auckland Tramping Club. Passed away peacefully at Auckland City Hospital on 17 April 2017, aged 88, after an enjoyable life with family, friends and relations. Beloved husband of Sibyl for 57 years. Father of Andrew, Janet, Alison and Moira; grandfather of Kate, Libby, Alexandra, Michael, Thomas and Hannah. Brother of the late Jack and Stuart. Third son of Isabella McIntyre McDougall and George Bell Laing. A service to celebrate Colin's life will be held at St Philip's Anglican Church, 92 St Heliers Bay Road, St Heliers at 11am on Saturday 22 April 2017 followed by private cremation. Donations may be made to Westpac Helicopter Rescue Trust. Correspondence to Sibuns Funeral Directors, 582 Remuera Rd, Auckland.
