I watched the link for Sir Colin's funeral service yesterday, what a great tribute to a great man! It was a pleasure to have known him, and to have conducted significant business with him. We submit our sincere condolences to Jenny, Richard Michael, and the family. RIP Colin!.

Our sincere condolences for the sad passing of your beloved husband, father and grandad. I have known Colin as a wonderful friend and business partner since 1969. We enjoyed many pleasant times during the holidays at Pauanui especially playing cricket with young Richard and Michael. My fond memories of trips to the Monaco F1 and his generous hospitality during my trips to London will forever be appreciated.
From humble beginnings he rose to a much respected member of our society and due to his work ethics breached the Everest in New Zealand motor industry. His generous sponsorship of many young aspiring motor racing drivers has been rewarded with a number of outstanding victories.
He is never to be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Sir Colin was a humble, kind, smart, charitable and successful man that I was lucky enough to meet. He did a lot for his family and NZ and will be missed. Deepest condolences to the family. RIP sir.

Colin made an immeasurable positive difference to so many people, charities and sports in New Zealand. His deep passion for Motorsports was a major driving force in bringing Kiwi drivers to the forefront and showing the world how a small country punches its way to the top.

Colin since 1972 you mentored me on many occasions and to be appointed DP of Colin Giltrap Motors (GILTRAP MAZDA) was and always will be the highlight of my working life. Condolences to your wonderful family.

Wonderful Man

It's truly heartbreaking to witness such a significant loss, not just for the immediate family but also for the wider auto industry. He was undeniably a pioneering figure, and his absence leaves a void that will be felt by many. However, I have faith that Richard and Michael will continue his legacy with honor and dedication. My deepest condolences go out to the Giltrap family during this difficult time. The day when we lost Sir Colin is indeed a sad day for all of us.

My condolences to Colin's family and Ngaira. Colin learned at a young age the market value of cars. I recollect in January 1953, customers coming to the Giltrap home to purchase a car and Colin standing by his father saying the vehicle was worth more than it was being sold!

Colin was incredibly generous during our racing days , from 2006 to 2009 , in the A1World Cup of Nations racing with Ferrari - he with his Team NZ and I with Team Ireland . Rugby World cup and America´s Cup tickets were also part of Colin´s generosity .

I'll be first in line just to say how wonderful his beautiful wife and 2 boys are and are well able to continue the goodwill seemlessly into the future though my brother has left a big hole. I had hoped to have him for a few more years.
