FERGUSSON, Colin Duncan. 1933 - 2018. Formerly of Ngaruawahia. Loving Husband of Joan. Father of Rix, Ian, Gail, Clyde and Heather (deceased). Father in law of Sue, Cherylyn, Graham and Trina. Loved by his many Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. Long time bird fancier. Many thanks to Brylyn Resthome for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Waikato. A service for Colin will be held on Thursday 22nd November 2018 at 11.30am in the Avalon Chapel, Simply Cremations, 388 Wairere Drive, Te Rapa, Hamilton.

So sorry to read of Colin's passing, our thoughts are with Joan and his family.
When we lived in Tokoroa in the 80's & early 90's we put Joan & Colin up in our home when they were judges for the Tokoroa Cage Bird Club. When our two children Amanda & Alastair knew you were both coming to stay they'd say, "Oh, it's Mr & Mrs Clappy Hands!", because of Colin always clapping his hands together and letting out a booming laugh. What an amazing couple, the bird world is going to miss you Colin, you gave so much to the bird clubs & especially the canaries. You absolutely loved your birds Colin, but not as much as you loved & adored your beautiful Joan and your family.
We've treasured our friendship over the years beyond the birds after we moved away, you will always be in our hearts.
So sorry we cannot be there on Thursday to say goodbye, we'll be thinking of you as Joan & your family remember you, there are sure to be a lot of laughs.
Thanks for the memories and ALL the laughs, what an amazing man you were, the world won't be the same without you and your amazing laugh.
