PENNEFATHER, Clive Fraser. Passed away in Rotorua on Saturday, the 9th of December 2023. Loved brother, uncle and friend. Cherished memories A funeral service will be held at St. Lukes Anglican Church 1223 Amohia Street, Rotorua on Friday the 15 December at 11:30am. He was an inspiring but unconventional language teacher. If you got him and he got you you would learn German and French that you didn´t forget 50 years later. Auf weidersehen mein Lehrer

RIP Penne, I have loved the chance of helping you sort out your books. The job seemed daunting at the start but we soon got into the swing of it. Your knowledge was enjoyable to hear, often I would start a poem and you would finish it. Helping you now and again with the Cryptic crossword often brought discussion. It has been a pleasure knowing you and you will remain in my memories especially as I see an artwork from someone like Dali, or hear a poem, something like Tiger, Tiger, burning bright. Fly free
