Clifford TASMAN-JONES Obituary

I have just read with sadness that Cliff has died, but it is with pride and gratitude that I recall him as a gifted and caring physician, and an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher. He was one of my very best mentors. He taught me how to listen with a smile, and how to stay calm when faced with a medical dilemma or crisis. I clearly recall a time we had lunch together at the hospital cafeteria, when I was feeling guilty about sneaking a donut on my lunch tray. With a twinkle in his eyes he reassured me that everything can be good in moderation. My thanks to his family for sharing him with us.

I hope I never forget your empathy and outstanding care. You were an outstanding physician and an even better human being.

Dear family, My sincere condolences....I loved working with Cliff, he was my consultant when I was a registrar at Auckland Hospital in 1974....kind, wonderful teacher. He was very supportive and his patients liked him very much. I met up with him again when I was president of the Auckland Medico-legal Society...he continued to attend until recently.

He will be missed by his family, friends and patients...
