God bless you Cliff! Thank you for having come into my life that day in Spain and then carrying on that friendship for years to come. Thank you for showing me your beautiful country. You were an amazing dad that showed your kids the world, educating and caring for them more than anyone can imagine. You were wonderful and cheeky!

I didn't know this man apart from watching his story on Attitude, but my heart goes out to Marita and Johnny...

He seemed like a wonderful man, who loved his special children unconditionally. A true father...

He has set an example for all men with children... to love our children unconditionally no matter what the circumstances maybe.

Go unto our Lord and Heavenly Father, and rest and know that your beautiful children will be taken care of, and loved.

We first met Cliff, Marita & Johnny about 16 years ago in Tasmania and struck up a friendship almost immediately. We were absolutely in awe of Cliff with his dedication and patience with his children. He took them all around the world and they even had an audience with one of the Popes. Oh Cliff we are going to miss you, especially Frank when we got on the phone and you both got onto politics.

Anne and I admired your commitment to your children and the devotion and sacrifice that entailed. May you rest in well deserved peace.

I only knew of him from the show a few years ago (Attitude Live...Parenting kids with disabilities) that I saw via YouTube.. But the depth of his character was so moving. He blessed, and was so blessed, by his daughter and son..A truly remarkable family. My sincere sympathy to his children. I have also lost my father, A very good man, and can assure you that he will always live on, right inside of you, in your heart.

You were an inspiration to all of the parents of disabled children everywhere. We will miss your presence, your courage, and your goodness. You showed us every day, that life was much much bigger than a diagnosis (or no diagnosis). Much love to your family and friends across NZ and beyond.

Cliff you will be missed around the neighbourhood. I always enjoyed having a chat when we got on the topic of trees etc and especially the exotic ones you had in your garden. My love and condolences to Marita and Johnny, may you find some peace amongst the difficult days ahead as you adjust to not having your wonderful Daddy around. Deb Brock (neighbour.)
