Claude Duval Obituary

Claude R. Duval, 62, of Raleigh, NC and formerly of Goffstown and Manchester, died June 30, 2010, in Raleigh, NC, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester, NH on November 22, 1947, he was the son of Alphonse E. and Eva (Parenteau) Duval.

During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Navy.

Until his retirement, he worked with the United States Postal Service for many years.

In addition to his mother of Manchester, NH; family members include his wife, Maria (Hurley) Duval of Raleigh, NC; his son, George Robert Duval of Raleigh, NC; five brothers, Lou Duval of Winchester, MA, Bern Duval of Washington, DC, David Duval of Manchester, NH, Jerome Duval of Manchester, NH, Tom Duval of Raleigh, NC; five sisters, Elise Rouleau of Manchester, NH, Maggie Perez of Northfield, NH, Maria Beasley of Bedford, NH, Jeanne Brown of Oakland, CA and Anne O’Brien of Laconia, NH; an uncle and many nieces, nephews, aunts , and cousins.

In his life: He leaves his mother-in-Law, Evelyn C. Hurley of Raleigh, NC.

Services: Funeral services are private.

To the Duval Family - My sincere condolences to all of you. I was shocked and deeply saddened to read of Claude's death. I have many fond memories of him that I will cherish always. Take care.

My brother Claude. I will always remember your unique character, your daring personality and passion for so many things. Through music, I will fondly remember you brother.I wish I had the opportunity to hug you, tell you I love you and, say good-bye. My sympathies to Maria and Georg. Rest in peace, my brother Claude.
