Clark THOMAS Obituary
THOMAS, Clark Colin. 25 May 1938 - 8 January 2025. Clark passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 8 January, aged 86 years, following a long illness. Dearly loved husband of Jan and much loved father and father-in-law of Kerry and Olli, Russell and Em, Belinda and Mike. Loved grandfather of Ed and of Victoria, her husband Tom, and their children Theo and Eloise. A funeral service to celebrate Clark's life will be held at St Margaret's Anglican Church, 102 Hillsborough Road, on Thursday, 23rd January, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation. Clark was the best boss I ever had. In the 90s, I called him to pass that on. I remember his raucous laugh and his fun loving nature. Always the resourceful professional, Clark combined these facets with his gentlemanly and kind nature. On one occasion, he called out to people moving vehicles to avoid parking tickets behind the Winstone office in Christchurch. From the tenth floor window, he called, "God is watching you!" Everyone in the office cracked up. A fine man who shaped much of my professional career, attitude and success. I thank him.
