Clarice FERGUSSON Obituary

FERGUSSON, Clarice Louisa (nee Green) On Sunday 9th August 2015 while napping at Devonport Palms, Tauranga, aged 99 years. "With Jesus forever" Beloved wife of the late Alfred. Much loved mother and mother- in-law of Carley and Des, Bernice and Malcolm, Marcia and Milton, Ruth, John and Despina, Paul and Gretchen, the late Pauline; Peter, Christine and Edwin, and Deborah. Precious Nana to 22 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Her wonderful legacy is being passed on from generation to generation. A celebration of her life will be held at 11am on Tuesday 18th August, at Otumoetai Baptist Church, 241 Otumoetai Rd Tauranga, followed by burial at Pyes Pa Cemetery. Wonderful lady who took care of our wedding reception. Prayed for so many and loved the saints whole heartedly. Who taught me how to prayread the word of God; and call on His name. Praise the Lord for such a great lady

I met Mrs Fergusson in about 1969 when Debbie dragged me home from school one day. I thought she was soft and delightful. I was so lucky, I was taken on a family trip to stay in cabins at the Ohau Channel. I learned about fresh water boating and trout. It was a marvelous trip except for the Huhu bug on the ceiling. I met many family members at that time and want to tell you, your mum was fab. She gave me her meat loaf recipe and I still use that very recipe today. I moved into my home in 1979 and my drive paralleled 115 Pillans, perchance so for many years I'd yarn over the fence to Mrs Fergusson and watched her drive the Princess year after year. I will always have such fond regard for her.
