Christopher WATT Obituary

WATT, Christopher Fredrick (Chris). Chris passed away 15th March at Auckland City Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack on the 12th of March. He was surrounded by loved ones as he passed peacefully and without pain. Chris, the most loving and supportive husband, daddy, son, brother and friend is survived by his wife Emma, sons Connor and Toby, parents Erin and Malcom, Stepdad Tony, brother Aaron, sister Linda, stepbrother Jason and stepsister Alisha. Born at Queen Mary Hospital in Dunedin, Chris has lived in Auckland since he was 7 years old, residing in Glendene with his family for the last 10 years. A loyal and hardworking employee at NZME for over a decade, he will be sorely missed by colleagues and friends. A celebration of Chris' life will be held at Morrisons, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson at 12.30pm on Wednesday 22nd March. Refreshments to follow and burial at Waikumete Cemetery where all are welcome.

I was lucky to have worked with Chris over the last 11 years. He was one of the most supportive people to me over this time. Extremely knowledgeable in his field and happy to share this knowledge. He never got annoyed at my endless questions and was someone I came to trust and rely on. He was a great person to take to meet clients and always had your back on all things digital. A huge loss to his friends at NZME. Also a fun friend to catch up with outside of work. I have had many tears when I think of him now not being there to chat to. Heartbreaking for his lovely family that he was very proud off. I feel blessed to have shared the time we had working together.
