We have only known Pam & Robin for 10 years, but we would like to send our deep sympathies to Pam and the family for their loss. Robin was a gentleman in every way and had a wonderful thirst for knowledge of other places and people. He had such a kind spirit and was a very special man. We enjoyed many happy hours with them both, initially in Samoa where we first met, and recently at their home in Thames. We are feeling very sad for those left behind, but also very grateful that we knew Robin for a while. Love from Judy & Norbert Eichblatt, Te Aroha.

I am so sad to read of Robin's passing. He was an inspiration to so many of us at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. He was a mentor and training officer to all of us. He was so kind, patient and understanding during our extended and at times, trying redundancy. Sadly, I lost touch with him afer we all bailed out of MAF. My sympathy to Pam and the family, you have lost a wonderful person.
